Description: Our Imperial Flanders Dark Ale combines the fruitiness expected of a typical Flanders Red with dark caramel and roasted malts to create a stronger, darker version of the classic Flanders Red Ale. Notes of sour berries and cherries lead to flavors of bakers chocolate with a full bodied finish. Aging for 14 months in French Oak Cabernet barrels lends plenty of tannins and toasted oak with subtle notes of coconut. Not too sour, and not too malty, this complex wild ale hides the alcohol content very well, despite being much stronger than a typical Flanders Ale. Acidity level: Moderate
