Description: We brewed up something special with our brothers at Big Bend Brewing Company! Brewing maestro Jan Matysiak from Big Bend wanted to get #medieval with us, so we decided to make a medieval beer. We settled on a Gruit Ale. This nectar of the gods hails from yester years when hops where not added to beer. Gruit beers where instead bittered with any number of roots, tree barks, herbs and spices. We created a #Saison bittered with Yarrow, Mugwort and Juniper berries...all herbs found in medieval Europe.
