Description: This beer was one of two we created after meeting Billy, Graeme and the fine people at Wine Importers. The challenge they put before us was to brew beers that they could use to pair head to head with different styles of whisky. Marc already had an idea for a banana bread rye ale rattling around in his head so… after a bit of discussion we felt that this would be a great beer to pair with sherry matured single malts. We ran the test brew with the lads at Ushers. The result.. A soft rye backbone, supported by a hop bill of Admiral, Challenger and Saaz… a spicy banana rye ale perfectly equipped to take on the great sherry malts of the world. Slainte!
