Description: Belgian Tripel brewed with rhubarb. Pilsner malt, Abbey malt, and Belgian candi sugar give this ale a straw color. Noble hops, Belgian yeast, and an addition of rhubarb in the whirlpool make for subtle rhubarb flavors with spicy and alcoholic characters. Rhu is based on Germanic or Celtic tribes who challenged the ancient Roman empire. Though called “barbarians” by the Romans, Rhu would have a lot in common with Queen Boudica who led a multi-tribe rebellion against a Roman legion in 60 CE.
