Description: For Checkered we took the same approach we do for our other west coast IPAs but put a winter twist on it. Checkered gains complexity from the use of Crystal Rye malt, giving it a dark ruby red hue and subtle spice notes to compliment the classic hop combo of cascade and amarillo. Fresh pine needles and citrusy grapefruit pith with subtle notes of brown sugar and spicy rye.
