Description: This beer is a triple celebration: A Belgian Strong Ale soured with lactobacillus, brewed at our Clare Valley brewery. It was then barrel aged for nearly 11 months in ex-Shiraz and Grenache barrels borrowed Pikes Wines, with the addition of fresh Adelaide Hills cherries from our cousins at Joyson Orchards! The result is a super approachable sour ale, perfect for the long hot summer ahead! Dusty red in appearance, the beer has a bouquet of sour cherry, oak & vanilla. The tart and sherbet-like mouthfeel is accompanied by gentle oak tannins from the lengthy barrel aging. Perceived sweetness from the use of Belgian yeast helps round out an otherwise dry finish.
