Description: In September of 2016 our brewers spent a good portion of an entire day glazing well over 100 pie pumpkins with Michigan honey and then smoking them over rum barrel chips. It was grueling and tedious but there was beer and the air was crisp…everything was good. Those brave little pumpkins made their way into a malty, copper colored high gravity brew. Two thirds of that brew went into Jamaican rum barrels. Chestnuts were added to all. Pumpkin spice was not added to any. Enjoy!
