Description: An Imperial Dessert Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Cacao, Cinnamon and Cayenne Pepper. I can only ever catch glimpses of them, but they are there in my peripheral vision. They will get me if I make a mis-step. This imperial dessert stout was blended in the style of a spiced hot chocolate using organic fair trade cacao by Camino in Ottawa, grown by small-scale farmers in Peru and the Dominican Republic. We spiced it up with a pinch of cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Blended in collaboration with our friends at Temporal Artisan Ales. The cacao in this beer tends to settle to the bottom. To enjoy this beer with its intended mouthfeel, we recommend storing it upside-down and giving it a good shake, rattle and roll before opening.
