Description: Copper hued and easy-drinking, this ale was brewed with locally-harvested spruce boughs. The spruce was added to the mash, and gives the beer a fruity aroma, and a piney, almost minty finish. Crystal malts contribute a nice caramel backbone to round out this unique beer. We brewed this for the Center House Association, which maintains the oldest officer’s mess hall in the Marine Corps, located in the barracks at 8th and I in D.C.
