Description: A clean-tasting ,easy drinking amber coloured bitter with a dry, hoppy finish. Springhead was the first brew of the brewery and was named after the bend in the river Trent in Sutton on Trent, close to the first Springhead brewery. It is a traditional Nottinghamshire bitter brewed with Maris Otter Pale malt, Northdown hops and Nottingham Ale yeast. As such it can be served with our without a sparkler according to taste. It was winner of the Best Bitter, Northern Beer Festival 1995.
