Description: We swear it's a stout….an Imperial Golden Stout! Imperial Stony Joe may look like a bright golden ale but it'll bend your mind with the flavor and aroma of an Imperial Coffee Milk Stout. We used Costa Rican Natural Process Coffee beans aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels that had previously help red wine to impart complex and rich chocolatey notes tinged with the spicy essence of rye whiskey and a hint of fruit. This unique coffee is combined with Cocoa nibs to create the rich mocha character you're used to from a traditional stout malt bill. It's a bit of alchemy with all that lush, smooth mocha sweetness hiding just behind the pale golden color.
