Description: We have never really been a fan of traditional pumpkin ales. It used to be like drinking a light beer with pumpkin pie spices added. We love big, rich, malty, flavorful beers, so that is where we began. We started with the recipe for our "Renaissance Cowboy", (Scotch Ale), and added more crystal and caramel malt. We then added the spices our Grandmother’s used to make their pumpkin pies every Thanksgiving holiday. We still have fun with this recipe by modifying and tweaking it every year. Please enjoy the Big Pumpkin Evolution, every Fall!
