Description: Summer’s Gonna Hurt You is a blend of oak barrel aged golden sour beer conditioned on literal tons of fresh peaches and nectarines. This year’s Summer’s Gonna Hurt You is made with four varieties of late harvest Masumoto Family Farm stone fruit. We used over 2000 pounds of fresh Spring Bright and Le Grand nectarines to yield a mouthwateringly juicy fruit flavor, while 2000 more pounds of Flavorcrest and Gold Dust peaches were utilized to showcase an overwhelming fruity/floral aroma. The fruit was hand processed by The Rare Barrel staff over the course of three days before being introduced to a 16-month-old blend of barrel aged beer. The beer was then rested on the fruit in oak barrels for an additional 4 months before being packaged and bottle conditioned with our house culture.
