Description: Spontaneously fermented collaboration beer that we brewed in late 2017 with Mikkeller. We turbid mashed Golden Promise malt, red wheat, as well as unmalted wheat, boiled the wort for an extended period with aged whole leaf Hallertua Mittelfrüh hops then let the wort cool and inoculate in our rooftop koelschip overnight. It then spontaneously fermented and aged in the fantastic RdV Vineyards Virginia red wine barrels for 18 months. On blending day we racked our barrels onto delicious @agriberryfarm Virginia raspberries. We also added some in-process SpontanDoubleRaspberry from Mikkeller. Bottle-conditioned for a year, Sketchy Transfer tastes like Belgian Framboise - layers of funky fruit, cheesy aged hops, oak, with a great acidity reminiscent of biting into a raspberry.
