Description: Released just once a year, this American wild ale is aged on Cabernet Sauvignon Grapes and Black Currents in Cognac, Bourbon, Port and Cabernet Sauvignon Oak Barrels. One of our boldest, most dynamic beers, Cuvee de Tetreault expresses powerful fruit-forward flavors of black currant, berries, and grape juice supplemented by hints of tobacco, vanilla, and light roast. An underlying tannic structure from the cabernet grapes and seeds adds complexity and balance to the fruitiness and acidity. As the beer ages, the fruit character will gracefully fade, opening up nuances provided by the specialty malts and diverse variety of barrels used in aging.
