Description: Liberty Bell 7 is a Foeder-Aged Grisette brewed with Belgian pilsen, pale wheat, and flaked wheat for a light and airy base. It was then fermented with a mixed culture for about 6 months in one of our American oak foeders. Liberty Bell 7 was also aged over Lemongrass and dry-hopped with Lemondrop hops. The result is a lightly oaked, petite saison with a blast of lemon zest, that balances out with a refreshingly funky finish. On July 21, 1961, Mercury- Redstone 4, nicknamed the Liberty Bell 7, lifted off and became the second United States human spaceflight. The spaceflight was piloted by Virgil "Gus" Grissom.
