Description: No doubt everyone is familiar with the incident at 8 Wired Brewing a couple of months back which left brewers Jason Bathgate and Behemoth's Andrew Childs in hospital receiving treatment for extensive burns. We floated the idea of doing a collaborative brew amongst the broader Wellington brewing community that could be used as a fundraiser to contribute funds in support of Jason and Andrew - and everyone said yes. So this American Amber is the result of community spirit and shared ideas and resources of Panhead, Fork and Brewer, Martinborough Brewery, Funk Estate, Black Dog, Choice Bros, Tiamana, Wild and Woolly, Parrot Dog, North End, Yeastie Boys, Garage Project, Baylands, Kereru, Craft Beer Capital and of course Tuatara and The Third Eye. An American Amber that pays homage to both brewers' proclivity towards hop driven styles, as well as the changing seasons. LOOK: Chestnut brown with light red hues AROMA: Earthy citrus and firm malt TASTE: A formidable balance between rich malt character and punch American hops MALT: Ale, Abbey and crystal malts HOPS:Chinook, Cascade, Centennial, Colombus, Amarillo, Simcoe
