Description: Have you ever heard of the German cake “Schwarzwälder Kirsch Torte”, in English known as “Black Forest Gateau”, well this is our attempt at making a “Schwarzwälder Kirsch Torte” in beer form. The cake is a dense dark chocolate cake, with a whipped cream, vanilla and sour cherry filling. To emulate these flavors we brewed a big bold Imperial Stout, brewed with lactose (milk sugar), vanilla, cocoa nibs and cherry juice. This beer is quite limited and brewed specially for the DØE Beer Festival.
