Description: Blended bourbon barrel-aged Stout. We drew from 5 different threads for this beer: 3 different bourbon barrel threads, 1 stainless aged thread and a huge base stout which we crafted specifically for this project. All 3 bourbon barrel aged beers had spent between 12 and 18 months in small format bourbon barrels from Mad River Distillers. During this extended aging period these beers slowly took on rich flavors of vanilla, toffee, creme brulee, and a gentle oakiness. To compliment these flavors we brewed a massive stout with a huge body and a decadent baker’s chocolate, dark fruit and robust coffee profile. These flavors were concentrated thanks to an extended 5 hour boil, 1 hour for each year we’ve been in business.
