Description: Frigg is the highest ranking of the Aesir Goddesses and the wife of Odin (the Chief of the Gods). She was described as tall, beautiful and stately, enjoying fashion and always making appearances in exquisite clothing wearing rich jewels. She also dressed in the plumage of falcons and hawks and had the ability to shape-shift and travel in the form of these birds, as did the other Aesir. This pilsner symbolises the plant, mistletoe, that caused the death of Frigg’s beloved son, Baldur. A death that despite all her efforts, Frigg was not able to prevent – due to the cruel meddling of Loki (who had always been jealous of the good looking Baldur). Although traditional in brew, this New Zealand pilsner has a touch of Loki’s hand – tricking the onlooker by turning it red. A crisp, refreshing drop, with the sweet aroma of citrus hops, it may even earn you a kiss from a stranger.
