Description: I got 50 lbs of Sweet Potatoes from produce and great spices from the spice aisle and decided to make a beer with Sweet Potato Pie flavors for the holidays. I also wanted to include enough alcohol to warm you up and get you through this time of year. So I based this beer around a Weizenbock to provide the creamy wheat body, clove flavors and the pie was complete. The beer has a beautiful orange Sweet Potato color, with a cloudy wheat beer haze. Some pie spice aromas come through, and a slight banana aroma from the yeast. Its full body gives the same consistency as the pie, and the warming from the alcohol helps the effect along.
