Description: Afrobeat is inspired by the traditional Ethiopian after-dinner coffee ceremony. It begins with the roasting of green Ethiopian coffee beans over a small charcoal stove, after which the smoking pan of aromatic beans is then brought to the table to thrill the senses. We have created a beer with these elements in mind and, like the coffee ceremony, is designed to be appreciated at a leisurely pace whilst commanding attention. Afrobeat is an Imperial Smoked Coffee Porter made from six different types of grain, freshly brewed coffee and toasted oak chips, to create a full-bodied beer that imparts a distinct smokiness. We source our coffee from many of the quality coffee roasters in London. We only use coffee originating in Africa and rotate the bean varietals from batch-to-batch to keep the beer fresh and interesting.
