Description: When the 2nd anniversary of Confluence Brewing Company’s founding and 200th batch approached, co-founder and head brewer John Martin decided the time was right for their first-ever Porter with a plan to release a variation each anniversary. The grain bill for this beer would impress a gourmet chef: base malts from the UK for a rich backbone, flaked oats for a velvety texture, brown malt for dark toast flavors/light coffee, several medium and dark caramel malts for body and sweetness, chocolate malt for depth and complexity and a small amount of black malt for color and a hint of dark roast coffee flavor.
