Description: Part of the Jay Bird Series. Export stouts were first brewed for the long journey to the tropics during the nineteenth century. The higher alcohol content and IBU’s preserved the ales for these extended trips. “922” export stout is brewed in that tradition. We brewed this beer with copious amounts of Munich, Crystal, flaked and Roasted malts for a rich well rounded mouthfeel and flavor. Magnum hops give the beer a clean bitterness while Chinook provides the aromas of slight smoke and pine. At 6.3% abv and 44 IBU’s this dark stout will keep you well preserved until summer.
