Style: Stout - Imperial / Double
Description: This is our first pastry inspired stout, so we decided to start at the basics with every preschooler’s favorite cookie. The base is the Imperial stout we Brewed with our friend Jeppe of Evil Twin Brewing, and then we added animal crackers. Brewed with English Golden Promise and a chocolatey & carmely burnt combination of kilned, stewed and roasted malts. Fermented with English Ale yeast, and hopped with Magnum for a mild bitterness. Rich and full bodied with subtle notes of biscuity Vanilla and Lemons. Most of this batch of stout went into rum barrels, only a small portion canned.
