Georges Island | Trillium Brewing Company

ABV: 7.1%
Style: IPA - New England / Hazy
Description: Nestled in the bay just off the coast, Boston's Harbor Islands are rich with history and intrigue. Each is known for its unique appeal and backstory, with a string of larger narratives tying them together en masse. The Harbor Islands IPA series grew out of the exploration that took place in our Permutation Series, where we developed a new series of IPAs that showcases extraordinary hops, building on our team's experience brewing hoppy beer at Trillium. Georges Island is best known for its vast parade ground and the historic Fort Warren. Active throughout the 1800s and 1900s, Fort Warren served many different purposes before being decommissioned and transferred to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. These days Georges Island welcomes city visitors for historic tours, group events, and the occasional old-time baseball game. Georges Island IPA features Nelson hops, pouring a deep orange with medium plus haze. Orange and clementine burst on the nose with a note of white grape underneath. Citrus is featured on the palate with a touch of floral pine and grapefruit pith. Medium bodied and full of flavor, the perfect beer for a day on the water.
