Description: Last year we took a small amount of our Peanut Butter Swirl Bar and tucked it away in a Willet Rye barrel. Over 13 months later, we conditioned the contents of the barrel on Peanuts, Cacao Nibs, Cake Mix, and a touch of Lactose. Barrel Aged Peanut Butter Swirl pours pitch black with a tan head releasing aromas of liquid fudge, honey roasted peanuts, and Fluff. A thick base of chocolate brownie batter quickly leads into crushed nuts, Reese’s PB cups, caramel latte, and a touch of dark fruit dipped in whipped creme. The rye barrel adds complexity, a touch of heat, and a spice note that counters any excess sweetness making this latest barrel aged beer a boozy liquid ice cream treat.
