Description: What’s the story behind Švyturys Adler Bock (7 % alcohol), the traditional bock beer and the latest addition to the Švyturys Traditional Collection? It is said that to facilitate going through periods of rigid fasting, medieval monks came up with a bock beer that was a bit stronger and had more body. Historical documents witness that circa 1495, merchants brought this beer to Memel, or Klaipėda as we call it today. The colour of bock beer can range from rather light to deep brown. When tasting this medium-bitter beer, you can perfectly feel the taste of the malt. The flavour and taste of Švyturys Adler Bock reveals best when the beer is served in a special glass shaped like a tulip with a solid stem. Beer Adler Bock goes very well with richly-flavoured braised or grilled dark meat, cured and smoked meats, Swiss cheese and desserts with prevalent blends of honey, nuts and white chocolate.
