Description: A Dunkelweizen is a dark German wheat beer with a heavy body and dark brown color. "Dunkel" literally means dark in German. Using lots of crystal malts, chocolate malt, and biscuit malt, this beer has a very rich bready, roasty, and sweet base. Fermented using Trappist yeast lends a banana and clove flavor to the beer. To finish off the beer to taste similar to banana bread, we then age it on cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean, and nutmeg. Coming in at 6% this beer is perfect for the crisp fall days.
