Description: A blended wild ale, Green River Mélange Foncé is comprised of casks of Flanders style Red, Oud Bruin, and dark farmhouse ales, aged in Green River bourbon barrels. These barrels lend the beer flavors of caramel, crème brûlée and vanilla to match the sour’s notes of sarsaparilla, dark fruit and birch. A soft acidity, particularly for a dark sour rounds the beer out alongside a nice minerality.
