Description: Originally, Chimay was sold in identical beer bottles, distinguishable only by the color of their caps. Now the Abbey of Scourmont takes us back 60 years and gives us the Chimay Grande Réserve (Blue) in its original 1956 bottle. The Chimay Grande Réserve (Blue), an exceptional Belgian brown Trappist beer, was initially only conceived for Christmas. It was not brewed on a regular basis until two years later, in 1958. The color is deep brown, and the abundant foam lasts for a long time. The powerful aroma with a bouquet of spices and a fruity scent is very characteristic of the Chimay. Enjoy the refined and delicate taste, which does not suffer from the high alcohol content. Beer that you can keep for a few years. This beer should be poured slowly, the glass tilted slightly and without the bottle touching the Chimay glass.
