A Lambrate ha trovato e condiviso l’amore per il luppolo e si è dovuto “scontrare” con la nostra passione per il peperoncino veramente piccante! La Grateful Deaf infatti è il risultato del mix tra malti scuri e caramellati, segale, cinque varietà di luppolo americane e una cascata di Habanero! Il nome Grateful Deaf (letteralmente “sordo grato”) è stato scelto da Ken in quanto affetto da sordità, creando anche un gioco di parole con il nome della band statunitense Grateful Dead, nonché con il nome di un personaggio della cultura popolare britannica. *** Ken Fisher is an intriguing character from Portland (Oregon) whose passion for beer has driven him to travel the world in search of brewers interested in brewing beers conceived by him. In Lambrate, he discovered our shared love of hops but also had to deal with our passion for very hot chili peppers! In fact, the Grateful Deaf is the result of a blend of dark, caramellised malt, rye, five varieties of American hops and a generous dose of Habanero! Ken chose the name Grateful Deaf as he himself is deaf and he wanted to create a play on words with the name of legendary US rock band the Grateful Deaf, as well as with the name of a character forming part of British pop culture.
