Description: Weizenbock is the lesser known of the bock styles as it is actually an ale brewed with a traditional Hefeweizen yeast. A rich, malty body containing loads of caramel malts is layered with the distinctive banana character of the traditional Weizen yeast to create a distinctive Bock style beer. As the old story goes, Bock beers were supposedly made from the dregs at the bottom of the tanks at the end of the traditional German brewing season. Although this is pure myth, we figured we’d help proliferate it by naming our seasonal bock “Tank Bottoms”. Bottoms Up!
