Description: An Oak Aged Imperial Honey Porter. This beer takes its inspiration from a song written by Billy Pierce, a local Delaware musician. Billy’s song was written in tribute to Joe Michini, the late great owner of The St. George’s Country Store. The beer is laced with rich malty sweetness, and honey-like flavor. Vinous Port-like quality with aromas reminiscent of plums, raisins and cherries. The malt character is like deep chocolate, coffee and molasses. Very dark brown in color, the beer is brewed with Pale, Munich, Brown and Chocolate malts plus a handful of other specialty malts, then hopped with Magnum and Hallertauer. Dangerously smooth, a multi-dimensional flavor profile with a sensational finish!
