Description: This beer was brewed to help Pre-Funk Nampa celebrate their second anniversary. I sat down with Ryan and Heather Driscoll from Pre-Funk and we came up with the idea for an imperial coffee porter with locally roasted coffee. I designed the recipe and they found the roaster, Flying M Coffee/Concert Garage who custom roasted some Ugandan Rwenzuri Kingdom blend espresso after sampling some beer from the fermenter. We cold extracted the coffee at the brewery and added it to the beer during the transfer. The result is a rich, smooth roasty brew with bittersweet chocolate, coffee character and a clean morning cup o' joe finish.
