Description: As a special, limited-edition treat for the Great American Beer Festival week, the brewers at Boulder Beer Company added 15 pounds of peeled and crushed organic grapefruits to a small batch of their Mojo India Pale Ale, along with the zest of four grapefruits and a bit of Champagne yeast. The beer aged for three months inside an oak barrel, where the Champagne yeast worked on the additional fruit sugars, resulting in an even more citrusy and tart version of Mojo IPA that packs a bigger grapefruit punch than normal batches of Mojo- a brew already heavy in grapefruit flavor from the generous use of the citrusy Amarillo hop variety.
