Description: Authentic yet contemporary, GRIOTTEKE returns! Abandoned for decades because of its rarity and the arduous manual harvest, Schaarbeek cherry is at last reappraised by traditional lambic breweries such as Timmermans brewery for its vivid red juice and its acid-sweet taste. Six months! That’s how long we give the Schaarbeek cherries to macerate in one of our young lambic kegs, before blending the cherry lambic with lambic that itself has aged for 6 months, but in barrels of Pinot Noir and Bourgogne. The final touch: the bottle refermentation that starts as soon as the cork seals the majestic black bottle. Delicious perfume of fresh cherries and its vivid refreshing acidity from Schaarbeek cherries encapsulates our palate. Griotteke’s winy touch ensures a beautiful signature for this authentic Oude Schaarbeekse kriek. Limited Edition.
