Description: For 2016 batch we used Woodford Reserve barrels which gave the beer a nice full whiskey character with some sweetness from the barrel and lots of oak character. The residual sugars in the beer keep the burn down and the beer balanced. The beer itself has, like all of Brothers Craft Brewings stouts, lots of chocolate notes and a full body without being cloying. Additionally for 2016 we added a coffee infusion after the beer came out of the barrels in addition to the infusion going into barrels using Lucas Roasting cofffee. This beer drinks great now as a sipper with some great friends. Cheers!
