Description: The base beer for this release is a brewhouse favorite. Chugboat Island. This batch spent months in hand selected Whitmeyer’s bourbon barrels. The barrel aged version pours a dark amber color. The aroma brings a wisp of vanilla, anchored with bourbon and Belgian yeast characteristics. The barrel compliments these already beautiful tasting notes and dialing back the original sweetness. At first sip the wood shines. The following sips bring a beautiful blend of barrel and bourbon. If you think Chugboat is a bit too sweet, this barrel aged version is for you.
