Description: Last fall, Russ and I traveled to Paonia, Colorado to hand press fresh picked apples! We were quite the thing to see for this family farm, with literally every generation coming to see what we were doing in our non-farm clothing. After a great lunch with everyone, we brought the juice back to our cellar and aged it on a delicious puncheon of Saison. The apple esters of Saison match perfectly with delicate apple flavors. Far from a cider, this is clearly a farmhouse ale with apple. You'll love it, and I'm wondering why we didn't try this sooner!
