Description: Our IPA tour is back in full swing and the latest duelling of The West’s Blown Plugger vs the East’s Ryeville has seen the kegs flying out the door. With our creative appetites running, it was time to again bring the team into the think tank (bar) and dissect (drink) some of our favourite IPA’s to determine where we go next. The result? An east coast rendition of a classic American West Coast IPA. Each member of the brew team selected a favourite American hop and threw 5kg in the kettle and another 5kg in the fermenter (we love our number symmetry here at Colonial). Golden in the glass, oozing tropical goodness on both the nose and sip. The bitterness is present but not controlling. It’s everything an IPA should be, without doing that whole “HEY I’M A MASSIVE BALLSY IPA LOOK AT ME”
