Description: Blending the Bourbon Council has become an important tradition for my brother and me. This year we again focused our efforts on finding the balance between the expression of delicate flavors and the boldness of the whisky. Blended from a stock of Bourbon barrels aged up to 3 years old, the range of descriptors was considerable. We agreed on a blend that promoted the rich, silky, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, toasted coconut and bright whisky expression of the young barrels with the complex, yet smooth, roast, nut, fig and stone fruit flavors of the older barrels. The resulting stout is a rich, decadent experience. We believe you, and the rest of the bourbon council will agree, this one was worth the wait.
