Description: Created by Confluence Brewing's farm-boy-turned-head-brewer, John Martin, this simple-but-elegant Saison is a fantastic canvas on which we, at the brewery, like to let our imaginations run wild. With its subtle dry peppery notes and fruity esters, our Saison Des Moines was practically begging to be aged in red wine barrels, and who are we to stand in the way of that!? After maturing our Saison Des Moines for six months in oak that previously held Riverbench Pinot Noir the result is a tart, jammy, and rounded beer we call Saison Des Mwines. From grains to even grapes, at Confluence Brewing Company we always strive to bring good things together.
