Description: An unfiltered light amber Lager; with a light beige head, The aroma is of floral honey combined with a subtle Spiciness. Dry-hopped with Hallertauer Mittelfrüh it has a very distinct Aroma of old noble hops from this ancient European Landrace variety. On the first sip hoppiness spreads through the mouth engulfing everything for the first second, it is then overshadowed by the solid Maltbackbone of this 5.0 ABV Lager. The bitterness is brushed away by the medium-Carbonation of the next sip to get the Tastebuds ready for round two of this Refreshing Export Lager. Inspired by the Quilled Stomper; Sagittarius Serpentarius; or secretarybird; A bird famous for its hunting of Snakes and other animals up to the size of young gazelles in Southern Africa. It is also a Promise to our Heritage as a South African Craft Brewery, choosing the Bird of the Coat of Arms, The Lion in the Skies under whose wings South Africa shall rise, as Patron to this Beer. All CO2 emittet in the Production and distribution of this Beer is off-set with the KaribaREDD project at lake Kariba (http://www.climatefriendly.com/projects/kariba-redd-project). This project protects an area on 785,000 hectares of forest, furthermore the Local community is involved in the project and taught how to farm with a lower enviromental impact.
