Description: Traditionally, Belgian Dubbels were brewed as nourishment for monks during their Lenten fast. Now with the winter approaching and the weather getting colder, we hope that you'll take nourishment in our version of this full-bodied brown ale cracked with green cardamom and peppercorn spices. At 10% ABV this beer is warming yet balanced with rich caramel flavors of the Belgian Candi sugar. It has both complex dark fruit and citrusy notes; brought on by the sweet orange peel added at the end of boil. It rounds out nicely with a roasted sweetness, a bit of chocolate, and that hit of spice from the black peppercorn and cardamom that linger with you for just a second.
