Description: For our 12th Triplicity we went 100% old-school, with the 3 hops that really drove American craft brewing through the 80s and 90s - the Famous C-Hops- Chinook, Centennial, and Cascade. Chinook is the choice for bitterness; it has a high enough alpha acid content for that to make sense, and it is definitely a strong enough hop that some of its flavor to survive the boil. Centennial is up next in the whirlpool, where it adds distinct notes of lemon and pine. Finally, we dry-hop with the OG - Cascade, probably the founding hop of American craft beer; the signature hop in Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Anchor Liberty. Originally derided as “catty”, Cascade became the defining American hop by delivering aromatics akin to rubbing a grapefruit pee
