Description: • Full Bodied with rich notes from chocolate malt • Prominent chai tea flavor from Tipu’s Chai Tea • Nearly imperceptible hop flavor, just enough bitterness to balance the malt This American-style brown ale draws its color, chocolate character, and mild roasted flavor from chocolate malt. Dark caramel and dextrin malts add body and a light sweetness by contributing unfermentable sugars. This brown ale is unfiltered leaving residual proteins and yeast cells behind that bolster the beer’s fuller mouth-feel. Galena hops were added early in the boil to balance the sweet malty nature of this beer with a mild bitterness. No flavor or aroma additions of hops were made. Four pounds of Tipu’s Original Chai Tea were added to the 15bbl batch lending a spicy aroma and a similarly spicy flavor with notes of black tea. Tipu’s Chai is a local and organic brand out of Polson, MT.
