This color is achieved by using chocolate and black malt in a way that draws mostly color and very little roasted, chocolate, acrid flavors. It does not have a roasty character like a porter or stout, but rather is very subdued and black in color. Weighing in at 71 IBUs this IPA has substantial bitterness and medium-high hop flavor and aroma. This ale has 13 different hop additions of Amarillo and Galaxy lending tropical, floral, citrus notes.
