Description: Cask conditioned version of The Grinder Coffee Stout, with addition of vanilla. This is a high gravity (high alcohol) stout with substantial amounts of roasted barley, chocolate malt, and black malt. We also added 15 pounds of Black Coffee Roasting Coffee (AM) to the batch (1/2 pound per keg.) This robust stout has deep coffee, chocolate, and roasting characters. It has approximately .25mg/pint of caffeine, which is the same amount of an average cup of green tea. Hops added for low bittering and a very small amount of Golding hops for a complimentary earthy/herbal character. This beer was aged in Makers Mark whiskey barrels for 10 months.
