Description: A collaboration between Elysian & Weird Beard Brew Co. Tart and chocolately, with a touch of rye. When Dick was in the UK brewing Night Owl, he met(go figure) some English brewers. One of them was Bryan Spooner of Weird Beard Brewing, and since he was headed our way recently we all decided to do a brew together. The result is 4Bs, a semi-burley kind of stout/kind of porter brewed with pale, rye, C-45, Carafa 2 and chocolate and pale chocolate malts. Spanking new Jarrylo hops were used to bitter, with Sorachi Ace to flavor and finish. 125 pounds of cranberry purée were added to the fermenter. We hate to say it, but Bryan's beard made Kevin Watsons roll over and show its belly.
